Scott A. Sandschafer Scott Sandschafer is Novartis CIO and Head of NBS IT in Basel, Canton of Basel-Stadt, Switzerland. He was appointed as Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO), Chrysler Group LLC in December 2009. In this position, he was responsible for all information technology applications and infrastructure in support of Chrysler Group business units located in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Asia-Pacific. He served as the executive sponsor of the Chrysler Asian Network (CAN), in addition to playing a leading role with the Chrysler Group Global Diversity Council.

Sandschafer joined Chrysler Group from CNH America LLC, where he gained extensive experience in information and communication technology, most recently serving as Head of Information Systems – SAP Core Program, Sales, Marketing and eBusiness.

Prior to that Scoot worked at Accenture, leading numerous global information and communication technology programs with broad global reach.

Sandschafer is an automobile enthusiast and loves to spend his free time with his family. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (1996).

Joined Nissan, following a series of roles in industries that spanned supply chain management, semiconductors, financial services and business and software consulting services. Established an Innovation Lab in Silicon Valley for Nissan, delivering significant results in Big Data, IoT – Internet of Things, Cyber Security and Machine Learning
. Technology Leadership: As Alliance Global VP for the IS/IT organization and Group CIO of Renault and Nissan, led the convergence of Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, HR Functions and IT solutions to achieve more than 4B Euro synergies in 2016.
Most recently has been a member of the Board of Directors at Nissan Motors; has been a NED of Hinduja Tech Limited. Member for several advisory boards for global IT solution companies, high-tech start-up and academic program.

Emma Arakelyan will be attending European Model Company Act (EMCA) meeting in Vienna, Austria on January 31, 2020. She will be representing IP Protection and Corporate Law Improvement program sponsored by the Armenian Bar Association and supported by the Ministry of High-tech Industry of Armenia, Orion Worldwide Innovations and TheChisel along with the delegation from Armenia: Rafik Grigoryan, First Deputy Minister of Justice, Armenia and Ara Khzmalyan, Partner, Adwise Consulting. The discussion will be about Corporate Law reforms and directions taking place in Armenia and The Corporate Law Improvements submitted to the government. The meeting will cover company act other topics and also have representatives from other countries: distinguished professors, attorneys and business leaders from Austria, Luxembourg, Germany, Lithuenia, Georgia, Croatia, Bosnia, Herzegovina, and Macedonia.

About EMCA
The EMCA was established in 2007 and is designed as a free-standing general corporation statute that can be enacted substantially in its entirety by the Member States, or they may enact selected provisions of the Model Act.

The EMCA offers the Member States a model company law, which leaves it to each Member State to decide whether it will offer its businesses the advantages given by harmonisation. The major benefit from an integrated company law framework is that it establishes similar conditions for company shareholders and third parties all over the EU, thus facilitating cross-border investment and trading by ensuring shareholder rights and rebuilding investor confidence.

However, at the same time the EMCA allows special local considerations and for experimentation with new or different ideas, as Member States are free to opt out of parts of the Model Law in order to implement national company law innovations.

Thus, the EMCA can be a tool for better regulation in the EU, as it will prove to be a coherent, dynamic and responsive European legislative framework. Member States will benefit from using the Model Act as a company law paradigm, as it will be a modern competitive company law

Sal La Duca is an Environmental Consultant, leading Home Environment Safety Movement.
Sal is specialized in the built environment, with over 40 years’ experience in instrumentation and controls. That included operating a shipboard nuclear power plant, and later land-based power transmission and distribution. Emma Arakelyan is invited to speak at the Young Business Club NYC virtual session with more than 50 entrepreneurs registered to talk about How to build a billion dollar company and how to leverage converging exponential technologies and organizational tools.

Emma will cover the concept of an Exponential Company is one as the one usin gnew organizational techniques by leveraging exponential technologies and whose impact (or output) is disproportionately large – at least 10X larger – compared to its peers. The foundation for the digitized economy is in 6Ds framework as Technology is developing at exponential rates, therefore transforming products and services, and disrupting industries. Singularity University methodology proposes what Google calls “Moonshot Thinking” where you try to go 10x bigger (10x cheaper, 10x faster, 10x cooler, etc.) than anyone else.

Exponential leaders have a massively transformative purpose (MTP) that drives them to overcome hardship and attract the best talent. An MTP is a “highly aspirational tagline” for an individual or group, like a company, organization, community, or social movement.

Emma will conclude with her Business Caring Formula concept of her book advising exponential leaders to establish their values of life and use them as a guide when innovating and building a success.
