About Columbia Community Business Program (CCBP)
CCBP is an executive education program for small business owners aligned with the core curriculum of the MBA program at Columbia Business School. Participants will receive one-on-one business counseling, entrepreneurial education, and professionally facilitated peer learning. The program helps established business owners focus on their goals, maximize their time, increase revenues, build the right team, and make a big leap forward.

The program year is divided into four semesters and aligns with the core curriculum of the MBA program at Columbia Business School. Summers offer CEOs and their next-level managers the option of attending skills trainings designed to build on the educational modules of the previous semester. An important element of the second-year curriculum is intensive training on the procurement process.

The program consists of three hour instructor led classes on specified topics offered weekly or on alternate weeks. After completion of each module, students work together in small groups in order to develop business goals incorporating their studies. Once a semester, students meet with instructors one on one to review goals.

CCBP participants also have access to the broadly-offered resources of the Columbia University-Harlem Small Business Development Center and select Business School offerings during the program and beyond. At the conclusion of the program, students will have completed an operations manual, a human resources manual and a case study. Upon graduation, CCBP alumni receive a certificate of completion and credits towards the Certificate in Business Excellence conferred by Columbia Business School. After graduation, CCBP alumni can continue to work closely with CH-SBDC counselors and participate in Columbia University entrepreneurship events.

About EMCA
The EMCA was established in 2007 and is designed as a free-standing general corporation statute that can be enacted substantially in its entirety by the Member States, or they may enact selected provisions of the Model Act.

The EMCA offers the Member States a model company law, which leaves it to each Member State to decide whether it will offer its businesses the advantages given by harmonisation. The major benefit from an integrated company law framework is that it establishes similar conditions for company shareholders and third parties all over the EU, thus facilitating cross-border investment and trading by ensuring shareholder rights and rebuilding investor confidence.

However, at the same time the EMCA allows special local considerations and for experimentation with new or different ideas, as Member States are free to opt out of parts of the Model Law in order to implement national company law innovations.

Thus, the EMCA can be a tool for better regulation in the EU, as it will prove to be a coherent, dynamic and responsive European legislative framework. Member States will benefit from using the Model Act as a company law paradigm, as it will be a modern competitive company law

January 2020 marked the establishment of New York based exclusive accelerator the Baltic-Armenian-Jacobs (BAJ) Accelerator was made possible by the collaboration and partnership of three organizations: Baltic American Chamber of Commerce, Orion Worldwide Innovations LLC and Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute at Cornell Tech. Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute is established jointly by Cornell University and the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.

The BAJ Accelerator comes to the market at a critical time when startup investors fear subsidy bubble. Exposure to Cornell Tech network, Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute startups coaching proven methodology, Baltic and Armenian startup ecosystem.
